Professor Vicente Diamante has died in his beloved city of Buenos Aires.
He has left us at 91 years old, a lifetime dedicated to otorhinolaryngology, especially otology and skull
base.
He was a true pioneer, a key pillar in understanding the extraordinary school of otology not only in Argentina, but also in the entire area of influence in both America and Europe.
He was a Member of the Academy of Medicine and an honorary member of multiple societies.
The “Maestro” as many of us called him, since he loved that word, was Full Professor of the ENT Chair at the University of Buenos Aires, and Emeritus Professor of multiple universities. international. He trained many generations with his kind character, exquisite education, which he always carried like a great gentleman.
He was the author of countless books, articles, conferences, etc., in which he knew how to explain and transmit the knowledge.
On a personal level he was not only affable and affectionate, he had a special sense of humor, even when he was relaxing, taking care of his livestock, which he adored, or having a tango dinner with friends.
