Guidelines
The Living Guidelines
The Living Guidelines on “Standard of care for adults with hearing loss and the role of cochlear implantation” provide evidence-based recommendations from hearing screening and referral to ongoing care following cochlear implantation. The Living Guidelines provide global recommendations and good practice statements for clinicians and a base for adaptation and adoption in national guidelines.
The Living Guidelines are structured around 10 recommendations along the care path:
- The online learning module provides an interactive introduction to the methodology, the recommendations, and the good practice statements (estimated completion time: ~20 mins) (CLICK HERE)
- The slide deck supports self-guided, detailed review of the recommendations and good practice statements. (CLICK HERE)
- The full documentation on MAGICapp.org includes background, evidence assessment and grade of recommendation. After registration, users can provide comments for further review. (CLICK HERE FOR PDF) (CLICK HERE FOR WEB VIEW)
