The course fulfilled IFOS expectations to support training and education in the field of Otology and Audiology in developing countries with more than 100 participants. The topics brought basic information from everyday otology, audiology, otologic surgery but also new information on the scientific and technological achievements in the field of otology and audiology. The lectures were sequentially translated to Spanish language. The technical connection for the online presentations (Manuel Manrique and Carlos Cenjor) was of a very high standard. Very lively discussion (again translated to the Spanish language) showed deep active interest of participants in otology, audiology topics. The discussion confirmed it was not only one-way transfer of information but multilateral exchange of experience, skills and knowledge.

The networking social event on Thursday took place in a very friendly atmosphere among Cuban and Caribbean colleagues, with a delightful background of typical Latino rhythmic music.

During the closing ceremony Prof. Paz expressed thanks to the presenters for their lectures and to the participants for their active discussion. Prof. Profant thanked organizers for the perfect organization of the conference in the Congress hall of Nacional hotel in Havana which was carried out with excellent technical support. The international composition of the participants was perfectly in line with the IFOS goals to reach with each of its courses the wide, global auditorium of young ENT doctors and residents.
